JENNIFER BLAIR • FOUNDER

A story of resilience, love, and purpose.

Resilient by nature. Gentle by design.

Founder Jennifer Blair came to skincare through loss and witness. After losing her mother to breast cancer, watching her son serve as a donor for a young woman battling leukemia and celebrating her recovery, and watching the challenges through pregnancy, she began to see skincare differently.

She wanted to create products she could not find herself: Something that actually met her where she was. Her own journey through menopause, walking beside her identical twin who is navigating the same transition while also living with autoimmune disease, deepened that purpose.

Jennifer realized the weight we carry as women, visible and invisible, and how we are often dismissed. Inspired by women who endure, struggle, and rise again, she envisioned ThistleScotch as the product line. The thistle became her symbol. A hardy, resilient plant that thrives even in harsh conditions. Resilient is the Thistle!

The name ThistleScotch also carries a personal story rooted in Jennifer’s Scottish heritage. When her mother discovered she was unexpectedly carrying twins, she joked that she would name them Scotch and Brandy. Jennifer, the firstborn, was “Scotch,” a nickname that didn’t last but became a warm, loving memory. Today, that playful origin lives on in the brand name, honoring both heritage and nature.

I don’t flinch when I speak on ThistleScotch. The brand and the products were created intentionally for women. What I mindfully crafted were products from the stories I heard, the stories I lived, from my voice.
